The Honor V20 and Honor Magic 2 perform Magic UI 2.0 and not EMUI. Honor has revealed a new update that will come as Magic UI 2.1 and will soon be implemented on both devices. The main feature of the update is Turbo 3.0 GPU, which debuted in the Huawei P30 series.
GPU Turbo 3.0 offers support for the most popular games that can run at a higher frame rate and also consume less energy. Huawei says that energy consumption has been reduced by 10% and that compatible games are now 25, compared to 6.
Magic UI 2.1 offers much more than just gaming features. The new update will allow users to unlock and control compatible cars. It will also provide support for the AI activation function that will allow you to activate the AI assistant with just one touch of the power button.
The new update will also have a feature called Dual-SIM Dual Switching. When active, the phone automatically changes the default SIM to the other when you notice that the signal is poor. Magic UI 2.1 will also provide support for AR measurement using the ToF camera on both phones. There is also an AI video editing feature along with the update and a new status tracking feature that lets you connect your phone to a treadmill. The phone records key data such as calories burned, distance, speed and duration.
Magic UI 2.1 will be available as a public beta later this month, while the stable update will begin to be implemented in May.
